Case Study - Gloucester

 In
2002, J H Lidstone were contracted to re-render,
screed, plaster and tile
the flagship Gloucester Leisure Centre.
This massive project involved a large number
of Lidstone staff working on three swimming
pools, changing rooms, sauna and steam-room
facilities, as well as communal areas and
a solarium.
 The
architects for the project were Limbrick Ltd (formerly Steven Limbrick
Associates)
of Gloucester, who said they were delighted
with the quality of work undertaken by
Lidstones and were happy to recommend them
to others.
The major contractors for the
project were Interserve, who chose Lidstone
because
of their reputation for high standards
in all that they do. Sid Singh-Nagra of
Interserve said, "We knew that despite
it being a large and complex project being
completed within a tight timetable, Lidstones
had the capability to deliver. We were
happy with the quality of their work and
wouldn't hesitate to recommend them".

During 2003, J H Lidstone were contracted by The Kier Group to carry out the rendering to the external elevations of Clifden Gate, a new build of luxury apartments. The original buildings were burnt to the ground, and the design brief was to match Gothic architecture on the surrounding / adjacent properties. Through studying photographs and the neighbouring properties, the design features were reproduced using specially formulated mixes and renders.
The results, shown below are a fine example of the attention to detail and of the high standard of workmanship continually achieved by Lidstone's tradesmen.
