Lidstone is a local firm with a national
reputation, a progressive company but one
which respects traditional values. Formed
in 1963 and named after its founder, Jack
Henry Lidstone, it is now run by his son
and grandsons - a family business that
has provided a personal touch for over
40 years. At the same time it's earned
a reputation for pioneering and innovation.
The revolutionary RMC SupaFlo product,
with its lightning-quick installation time
and crack-free finish, is taking Lidstone's
into the 21st century as the leaders in
the field.
Based in Plymouth, Devon, the company has become a single port
of call for all your Plastering, Screeding, and Ceramic Tiling needs. Lidstones
are proud to deliver a quality service every time. The company aims for 100%
customer satisfaction and most work comes from personal recommendations and
repeat business. Back in the early 1970's Lidstones acquired their sister company
- F H Crocker - whose fibrous plasterwork and ornate mouldings compliment the
services of Lidstones.
In 2002, J H Lidstone were contracted to re-render, screed,
plaster and tile the flagship Gloucester Leisure Centre. This massive project
involved a large number of Lidstone staff working on three swimming pools, changing
rooms, sauna and steam-room facilities, as well as communal areas and a solarium.
The architects for the project were Limbrick Ltd (formerly Steven Limbrick Associates)
of Gloucester, who said they were delighted with the quality of work undertaken
by Lidstones and were happy to recommend them to others.
The major contractors for the project were Interserve, who chose Lidstone because
of their reputation for high standards in all that they do. Sid Singh-Nagra
of Interserve said, "We knew that despite it being a large and complex
project being completed within a tight timetable, Lidstones had the capability
to deliver. We were happy with the quality of their work and wouldn't hesitate
to recommend them".
